Helping you change your life
Stress is fast becoming a way of life, not only in Britain but throughout the world. We are all subject to stress, regardless of age, social status or intellectual ability. Stress knows no barriers in this ever faster moving world. With the current world economic situation, stress levels are rising fast – yet the more stressed we are, the less able we are to manage situations effectively.
Stress, or the effects of stress are very bad for our health – it lowers the immune system or our ability to fight off illness and disease. This can simply mean that you seem to catch every cold and bug going around, to more serious conditions such as heart problems, digestive problems, insomnia, arthritic conditions, migraine and allergies and more.
Our bodies are meant to be alkaline, stress and/ or the lack of time for rest, rejuvenation and repair leaves our bodies in an acid state – which can be made worse by a modern diet of processed foods.
If not dealt with, it can get worse, and may lead to phobias, depression, anxiety and panic attacks and even mental ill health. Indeed, the medical profession has found “there are more people suffering from stress than the common cold".
I qualified as an Advanced Stress Constultant during 2008, and whilst I usually treat stress with IET and/ or Reiki treatments, I also use my knowledge and experience to provide advice on small changes that can make a difference to our stressed lives. I can also teach basic meditation and breathing techniques that help immediately with stress levels.
Having suffered from several prolonged periods of stress in my life, I appreciate only too well the effects it has on health. I learnt the hard way, my work with stressed individuals comes from hard experience and training – you don’t need to suffer the long term effects as I did. I am keen to assist you to regain your sense of control and equilibrium and help you to bring a sense of well being back into your life.
